Unfortunately, our locations are closed to the public.
There will be other students, and the typical class lasts about 3 hours, including preparation and cleanup.
Yes, you will need to bring your own basic items to each class, such as: A sensu (fan), fukusa (silk cloth), and kaishi (paper) are the basic required materials. If you do not have these, you may purchase them at the time of registration. Wearing a kimono is preferable, or other comfortable attire, along with white socks. Jeans or short skirts are not permitted. Please remove all jewelry and watches, and abstain from wearing strong perfume. If you have long hair, please tie it up or back.
There will be registration fees with Urasenke plus tuition per lesson:
Regular: $30 per class
For students: $25 per class
Oku no Okeiko: $40 per class
Instruction will be in both English and Japanese.
