Seiraku-An Class Info
At Seiraku-an, we offer weekly Chado classes where students can learn the fundamental principles of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony and practice Temae. A Chado class is not a one-time experience; it's an ongoing journey that can last for years, sometimes a lifetime.

Fundamental Principle
Since its inception over 400 years ago, the Urasenke School of Tea has stood firmly on the fundamental principles of 和敬清寂 (Wa-Kei-Sei-Jaku):
和 (Wa): Harmony
敬 (Kei): Respect
清 (Sei): Purity
寂 (Jaku): Tranquility
These principles were taught by the founder of Chado, Sen no Rikyu.
